SUPPORT GROUP FOR THE FOURTH TRIMESTER
Becoming a mother can be a beautiful experience, the beginning of a season in a woman’s life often full of joy, and unlike anything she has experienced before. Sometimes, however, the expectations and of the ideal birth and motherhood, and the realities of birth and becoming a mother conflict, leaving women overwhelmed, in emotional pain and confused during the post partum period.
Healing Birth Circle is a support group for women to process the birth experience and to discuss concerns that can occur in the months after the baby comes. It is a safe place to explore the conflicting feelings that women often have after birth. Nursing babies are welcome.
Healing Birth Circle will meet on 4th Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. at The Red Shoes, 2303 Government Street.
